The Eganville & District Senior Citizens’ Needs Association (EDS) is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our dedicated not-for-profit organization in the role of Executive Director. This is a full-time position.
The Executive Director works with other staff, volunteers and community partners to provide quality health and community services and programs for our service area. Responsible for the overall operation of the EDS and reporting to a volunteer board of directors, the Executive Director plans the advancement of the organization while managing the day-to-day business.
The Executive Director will ensure that staff, processes, resources and partnerships work together to the benefit of the community. Key partners are the Ontario Ministry of Health (Home Support Program) and Ontario Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility (Seniors Active Living Centre.) The successful candidate will ensure all reporting requirements are met.
Our Home Support Program includes services like Meals on Wheels, frozen meals, Diners’ Club and transportation while our Seniors Active Living Centre offers a variety of activities like exercise and fall prevention classes, euchre, arts and crafts and trivia.
Our mission is to promote and provide activities, services and support to seniors and disabled individuals in our service area.
