There are many opportunities to volunteer with the OACAO. The association has volunteer positions on the Board of Directors, Standing Committees, within the Regions and on the Conference Planning Committee.
About Board Work
Regional Committees
You can get involved on your Regional Committee and have the opportunity to meet and share successes and concerns with others in your region. Involvement in the Regional Committee gives you input into the planning of workshops and special events, allowing you to make the most of your professional development and networking opportunities.
Provincial Board and Standing Committees
You can work for your Provincial Board by being involved in the OACAO’s Standing Committees. This will allow you to make contact with people from centres across the province. Committee work is an excellent way to add to your professional development opportunities. The Standing Committees of the OACAO are:
