Strategic Alliances

ONTARIO SENIOR GAMES ASSOCIATION

The Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA) is composed of 41 districts from across Ontario. There are over 10,000 participants that take part in a variety of several summer and winter sports and activities. These events are available to anyone over the age of 55 that resides in Ontario. Regardless of your age, gender or athleticism, there is a sport or activity that is right for you.
The OSGA has been growing in membership since it was initiated in 1982 by The Older Adult Centres Association of Ontario (OACAO). The Ministry of Tourism and Recreation (now known as the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport) agreed to provide financial assistance to help develop this program and to promote activities for seniors throughout Ontario.

Presently the OSGA successfully have annual District Summer and Winter Games, three Regional District Games held across Ontario that, are held in non Actifest years. There are also the OSGA's Provincial Championships with are called, Actifest and Winterfest. Actifest occurs in even numbered calendar years where, there are over 1200 OSGA members participate. Winterfest occurs in odd numbered calendar years and have 850 OSGA members participate.
